Frequently asked questions
What does 3.5+ mean?
It refers to the NTRP rating system used in the United States, where 3.5 describes a player with fairly dependable strokes on moderate-paced shots, developing direction and depth control, and improving comfort at the net. The 3.5+ label means 3.5 players and stronger are welcome, so 4.0 and above players fit as well.
How long is each session?
Two hours, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturdays.
How many players are in the workshop?
Capacity is 12 players.
Who coaches it?
One of the Four Seasons teaching pros. The pro assigned to a given session is listed in CourtReserve when you register.
Is this drills or match play?
Men's workshops at this level typically mix both. Expect coach-fed drill work on specific shots and patterns, then live ball and point play so you use those shots in real rallies. Ask the pro shop about the format for a given week.
What should I bring?
Your own racquet, tennis shoes suited to the court surface, and water. Bring a towel and a change of shirt if you sweat through two hours of play.
Do I need a partner to sign up?
No. Workshops are organized by the coaches, and you are grouped with other players at your level on the day.
How many weeks does it run?
Six sessions, running Saturdays through the listed dates.
